Aerobic vs Alzheimer’s?
yep heres what a recent clinical study says about women did regular aerobic exercise...
Hey,
You’ve probably heard me say it a hundred times: move your body.
But today, I want to show you why and not in a fluffy, "endorphins make you happy" kind of way (though that’s also true).
In this edition, you’ll find:
The science behind how aerobic exercise impacts brain health and Alzheimer’s risk
Why improving insulin sensitivity matters for your metabolism and long-term health
30-Day Metabolic Reset
Recipe of the Week: High Protein Curd Rice
Let’s talk science for a sec.
A recent clinical study looked at what happened when a group of obese, middle-aged women did regular aerobic exercise for just three months.
The researchers weren’t just looking for weight loss — they were digging into how exercise affects brain health, insulin resistance, and even Alzheimer’s risk.
Here’s what they found (and why you should care):

Aerobic exercise is any activity that increases your heart rate and breathing for an extended period.
Common examples include brisk walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, and dance classes.
The key is that you’re moving continuously and using large muscle groups, which helps improve your cardiovascular fitness.

Translation? Regular cardio might actually help reduce your risk of cognitive decline down the line.
Fun Fact: Beta-amyloid was once thought to be "just a byproduct." Now we know it can disrupt neural communication and cause inflammation in the brain. Exercise literally helps clean this up.
Better Insulin Sensitivity = Better Metabolic Health
Insulin resistance isn’t just about diabetes — it’s also linked to brain fog, fatigue, and long-term metabolic disorders.
The women in the study saw lower fasting insulin levels and a reduction in HOMA-IR scores (that’s a marker for insulin resistance).
In short, their bodies started using insulin more efficiently.

Inflammation Went Down — Way Down
Another big win?
The participants saw a drop in hs-CRP levels, which is a major marker for inflammation in the body.

Chronic inflammation is tied to everything from heart disease to joint pain to—you guessed it—neurodegeneration.
Think of hs-CRP like your body’s smoke alarm. When it’s high, your system is under stress. Exercise helped dial that back.
You know I always say: movement and meals go hand in hand. One without the other is like training hard and skipping sleep—pointless.
